Pure Tricalcium Phosphate

Biosorb does not contain any organic
phase: no risk of viral contamination
from human or animal origin (AIDS,
hepatitis, prion).

Biocompatible 1-11
Composed of highly pure materials,
close from the bone mineral
components, Biosorb is perfectly
tolerated by the organism. No allergic
reaction or toxicity linked to the
material has been reported.

Mechanical resistance 1-11
Bio 1® implants have been designed
and adapted in term of shape and
porosity for each indication and
tested in our laboratory. From 30 to
70% of porosity: mechanical strength
similar to the one of cortical bone in
compression (up to 45 MPa).

Securing results

Bioactivity 12-22
A real strong chemical link without
fi brous interlaying is developed with
bone, creating a long term biological
fi xation of the implant.

Osteoconduction 12-22
The total control of the macro-porosity
guides bone cells and improves bone
graft integration.

Resorption 12-22
Bio 1® implants are made of Biosorb.
Due to its chemical composition, the
implant is resorbed through a cellular
process simultaneously to bone
